Abstract: As we transition from an IPv4-only landscape to Dual Stack, and ultimately, to an IPv6-only environment, we encounter critical gaps in several domains: staff education, processes, governance, and technology. This presentation will concentrate primarily on staff education and technological facets, as addressing all areas would exceed the scope of this session.

About the Speaker: Joe Klein is a seasoned computer scientist with a specialized focus on the cybersecurity aspects of Internet Protocols, including but not limited to applications, operating systems, and network traversal. He has been a featured speaker at esteemed events such as BlackHat, DefCon, IEEE, ITU, and ISSA, as well as numerous smaller venues. Joe has also delivered courses on IPv6 integration with respect to cybersecurity, network protocols, and applications.

Formerly associated with MITRE Corporation, Joe was integral in supporting secure IPv6 implementations for both governmental bodies and industry partners. Currently, he is in the process of establishing a consultancy firm dedicated to resolving security challenges in IPv6, BPP, NDN, AI, and Quantum communications.
