Abstract:  Michael Melore will review the current challenges, volumes of events, staffing shortages, expertise deficiencies, siloed security controls, providing statistics from recent Ponemon Institute reports including the recent Cost of a Data Breach 2021 Report’s findings in attack vectors, response/organizational impact and costs attributed to remote workforces, impact in cost and response times of AI/Machine Learning etc.  The session will include the way’s AI is used in law enforcement and critical infrastructure protection, AI bias and evolving Trust and Validation requirements in AI systems, the necessity and value of AI insight to security and where the industry is moving in AI for security.
