Course Level: Foundational
Duration: Two Evenings (7 Hours Total)
Delivery: Virtual – Live via Microsoft Teams
Dates: April 27th and 29th, 2026 (6:00 PM – 9:30 PM ET each evening)
CPEs: 7
Course Overview
Join ISSA-NOVA for an intensive two-evening virtual workshop, “Agentic AI for Cybersecurity Professionals,” designed to provide a foundational understanding of how agentic AI systems are transforming cybersecurity operations, decision-making, and automation.
This program introduces participants to the evolution from traditional automation and generative AI toward agentic systems capable of reasoning, planning, and taking autonomous actions. These systems enable continuous monitoring, adaptive response, and workflow orchestration across cybersecurity environments.
Participants will explore how agentic AI can support core cybersecurity functions such as threat detection, investigation, incident response, and risk management. The workshop emphasizes practical understanding, responsible use, and governance considerations required to safely deploy agentic capabilities in enterprise and federal environments.
The course also examines how agentic AI introduces new risks – including expanded attack surfaces and autonomous decision-making challenges – requiring updated security models, controls, and oversight strategies.
Course Format
