The ISSA-NOVA Chapter meets monthly (except August). The meetings are normally held on the third Thursday of each month, at various Northern Virginia locations. Each ISSA-NOVA Chapter meeting provides the opportunity for networking with other IS professionals in the Northern Virginia area. Networking and refreshments are available at 5:30 PM, and the regular meeting starts at 6:15 PM for Chapter Business, and the speaker(s) presentation begins at 6:30 PM.

The meetings are intended to serve the Chapter members and the IS profession. Guest attendance at a meeting is open to any security professional, as a way of sampling the benefits of chapter membership, or to anyone considering a move into the IS profession. Membership in ISSA and in the ISSA-NOVA Chapter is encouraged as a means to full participation in Chapter benefits, which include the opportunity to save hundreds of dollars on security professional training. If you are a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), each Chapter meeting is worth two CPE credits toward continuing certification. There are also opportunities to assist in Chapter activities through committee work and Chapter-related events to earn additional CPE credits.

So, please come join us at our next meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!
